COP15… you know other meetings have failed. Many meetings end up only with a weak unbinding declaration. What i did experience at COP15 was something else… there is something more than that happening… if you are like me and questioning the effectiveness of global governance mechanisms, the documentary trailer below may interest you immensely.

Food security for thought

As a good friend said to me the other day, a society is only ever three meals away from revolution (eg: deprive a population of food for three meals and see what happens!).

Here’s an interesting and easy to follow community service announcement addressing Japan’s food security from the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries. One blogger Waxy, suggests other nations could easily reversion the video for their own audiences.
